One of my favourite, quick, healthy and easy tea on-the-go. Pomegranate tea is one of the healthiest hot drink/tea. Pomegranate contains higher levels of antioxidants which can help remove free radicals, protect cells from damage and reduce inflammation. Pomegranate tea tastes amazing and this hot tea is comforting all seasons.
- 3 ½ cup – Pomegranate seeds (from about 2 large pomegranates)
- ½ cup – Sugar, optional (You can use honey too)
Place the pomegranate seeds in the Mortar (or a big bowl). Crush the seeds coarsely with a pestle for about 60 times or 2 mins. This process will release juice.
Add sugar and mix well. This mixture will have seeds and juice.
Store the mixture in a glass jar. You can make tea right away with this mixture or keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
For Making Tea: Add around 4 Tablespoons of pomegranate mixture with juice in a tea cup
Add hot water and mix it well. Serve this tea hot. Enjoy!
- You can reduce the level of sugar as per your taste/requirement.
