This thick green spinach puree can be used as the base sauce for many recipes like Spinach soups, rice, pasta, creamy bakes dishes etc. Spinach puree is loaded with Vitamins, essential minerals, and dietary fiber. This green puree is easy and quick to make and can be made ahead of time and freeze it to use later.

- 1 pound – Fresh Organic Baby Spinach, pre-washed (or Fresh Regular Spinach bunch, washed)
- ¼ cup – Water
- A pinch of Salt
- A pinch of Sugar
- In a deep pot, add spinach, water, a pinch of salt and sugar. Blanch it for 2 minutes. (Add minimal water)
- Blend the blanched spinach in a Vitamix or any blender to a fine thick paste. (Avoid adding any extra water)
- Thick green spinach puree is ready to be used directly or freeze it for later use. Enjoy this as the base sauce for pasta, rice dishes, baked dishes or soup.
